SAMUEL GALLOWAY

About SAMUEL

Samuel Galloway is a Kiwi filmmaker and video artist based in the Yarra Valley. His work spans narrative film, commercial cinematography, and video art, including light installations and 16mm film. Recurring themes in his practice include the struggles of the working class, climate change, and the bonds of family—ideas he explores with a balance of irreverent humor and emotional depth, shaped by his background in performance and stand-up comedy.

His narrative films have screened at Oscar-qualifying festivals such as Raindance, Austin, and Show Me Shorts, while his commercial collaborations as a Director of Photography have included brands like Dulux, ANZ, and Bosch. His latest video art projects push the boundaries of the medium, creating immersive visual experiences that challenge and engage audiences.
